The best thing about summertime is that people are always outside. The nation as a whole is more social, and it seems like there are smiles everywhere you go. It’s as if people are coming out of hibernation. Just a simple task like going to the bank or the post office seems to be much more fun and much easier when the sun is shining.
And forget about ordering in, because the nice weather can only mean one thing: barbequing! Barbeques are especially prominent around the fourth of July, which is rapidly approaching. That’s why DelightfulDeliveries.com has put together some great gift baskets, which include hot sauce, salsa, and more. There are also delicious baskets for dessert, such as candy, cookies, and pies.
July is a time of mixed feelings for many people across America. That’s because it is the time in which a good amount of kids head out to summer camp, away from their homes and away from their friends and families. And while sleep-away camp is a fabulous experience for most, kids still get homesick. Most of them spend six or eight weeks at camp, and for some this year will mark the first extended period of time away from home. So why not send them a gift basket? Not only will it let them know you are thinking about them, but it will also be a nice change of pace from the same food that they eat every day.
And don’t forget about those graduation gifts! This is an exciting week for people moving on from high school, middle school, and elementary school, and it’s not too late to send a gift. They’re not going to have another graduation for at least four years! So take a few minutes to check out DelightfulDeliveries.com to see which gift is right for you.

Ten years later came the first recorded use of the term “Independence Day.” Finally, in 1870, the U.S. Congress made July 4th a federal holiday.
Independence Day is a particularly special day because it brings the entire country together. Sure, lots of people celebrate Christmas and Easter, and Thanksgiving is a favorite of many. Mother’s Day may be over, but you’re not off the hook yet! Now that we’ve made our mothers feel like queens of the universe, it’s time to start thinking about how we’re going to show our fathers the same type of love. Sure, it’s still a good three or for weeks away, but it’s never too early to plan for the man that has influenced your life the most.
Father’s Day came about after Mother’s Day, so naturally it is later in the year. Although there is speculation that the holiday first took place on June 19th in the state of Washington, the most common belief is that it began on July 5th in Fairmont, West Virginia in 1908. Oddly enough, it was originally a church service at Williams Memorial Episcopal Church South, even though the holiday is now a secular one.
Like Mother’s Day, the idea for Father’s Day was war-minded. The suggestion came from Grace Golden Clayton, who was inspired after a deadly explosion that killed 361 men. Although President Calvin Coolridge recommended it as a holiday in 1924, it wasn’t until 1966 that Lyndon B. Johnson made the third Sunday of June a holiday. In 1972 Richard Nixon finally made it official.
This Father’s Day, DelightfulDeliveries.com is ready to help you make this a special day for your dad. With plenty of gift baskets to choose from, you’re sure to find something that he’ll just love. Each year it gets more and more difficult to come across a gift for this holiday. Now my dad has a closet full of more ties than he could ever possibly wear! But I’ve finally learned the secret to gift giving: send food! Your father would love a chocolate basket or a cookie bouquet. And you’ll be sure it won’t go to waste.
So before your dad has to make room for some more useless ties, surprise him with a gift basket from DelightfulDeliveries.com. Make this day a special one.

Here in America the year comes to an end in December. Unless you’re a student, of course, in which case the end of the year is coming up very shortly. And for some of those students it will also mark the end of an era, and the beginning of something new.
Graduation is what makes May and June exciting. People all over the country are preparing to leave their schools and move on. Whether it’s high school or middle school, grad school or college, it is certainly an accomplishment to graduate. Years of hard work finally pay off!

Sending a gift basket is especially convenient for those who want to reward their friends or family members for graduating, but live too far away to see them in person. Delightful Deliveries sends gifts nationwide! In a perfect world we’d all be able to be anywhere we wanted at any time. We could go to one cousin’s graduation in California and still be at our other cousin’s in New York the next day. Unfortunately, that’s not how it works. So until it is, nothing is more perfect than a gift basket. Gift baskets can arrive in California one day and New York the next. This way you don’t have to choose between cousins, or friends, or whoever it is that may be graduating.
These last few months of the school year are particularly grueling for most students. They have to study for multiple finals on top of whatever papers and projects they may have. It is usually the hardest part of every class all at the same time. And when it’s finally over, students are overwhelmed with a feeling of relief. So go ahead and let them know it was all worth it. Let DelightfulDeliveries.com help you congratulate them.

Last year I received a phone call from my sister two days before Mother’s Day. “Did you send a gift?” she asked. She knew me too well.
My heart started racing and my palms turned sweaty. I told her I had forgotten.
“Well you better call and send a card.” So I went to the local gas station and slipped some lotto tickets in a card. Then I sent it out, knowing it would never make it in time.
I called my mother two days later, and a little part of me was convinced that she had already gotten my poor excuse for a gift. But, of course, she had not.
She never let on that she was disappointed, and she never mentioned that the card came late because she’s too nice of a person. She just thanked me for calling her to wish her a happy Mother’s Day. It was then that I decided that this year would be different.
This year I learned about Delightfuldeliveries.com and the wide array of gift baskets that they offer, including gifts specifically for Mother’s Day. Now I can pick the perfect gift for my mother and know that it will get there in time! It’s an affordable price, and I won’t have to pray that some last minute lotto ticket turns into a million dollars. I’m anxiously waiting for May 11th to roll around so that I can call home, because this time my mom will mean it when she thanks me.
Mother’s Day is one of the most significant holidays of the year. It is a day to honor a woman that has dedicated her whole life to taking care of you and helping you to become the person you are today. And you can show her your appreciation by sending her a gift basket from Delightfuldeliveries.com. There’s plenty to choose from, including fruit baskets, cookie bouquets, and more. So Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and maybe you have no idea what to get. Or maybe you’re like me and forget ever year, until someone reminds you at the last minute, when you have to run out and throw something together that slightly resembles a present. That’s why people like us order gift baskets from delightfuldeliveries.com. You can order any time you want, and when it arrives you might be as surprised as she is. I know I’ll be.
What’s interesting about Mother’s Day is that it’s not clear when exactly it became a holiday. Here in America this day came about in 1870 when Julia Ward Howe wrote the “Mother’s Day Proclamation” in an attempt to unite women against war and achieve peace. Granted this day didn’t become an official holiday until 1914 and totally strayed from what she was trying to accomplish. But she still remains the inspiration behind it.
Yet most of us don’t even know who Julia Ward Howe is. That’s okay though, because she doesn’t know what a gift basket is, and she doesn’t know that she’s part of the reason we send them to our mothers every year on the second Sunday of May.
Julia’s work was carried on by Anna Jarvis, who was given most of the credit for inventing Mother’s Day. After her mother died in 1907, Anna held a memorial for her and began a campaign to make Mother’s Day a nationally recognized holiday. She succeeded in 1914, and by the 1920’s she was speaking out against the holiday because it had become too commercial. She, along with her sister, spent all of the family’s inheritance fighting against Mother’s Day. Imagine spending seven years of your life trying to get something accomplished, and then dying in poverty trying to destroy the monster you’ve created.
Needless to say, her efforts were wasted. It’s close to a hundred years later, and Mother’s Day is just as prevalent and commercialized as ever.
But at least you can go that extra mile. Go ahead and send her a mother’s day gift basket, or a gourmet gift basket. Let her know how much she means to you. Despite its original intentions, and aside from the commercial aspect of the holiday, it is still a day of love and joy. It is the one day of the year in which we all unite to say thank you to our mothers.

We’re quickly approaching that time of year in which we show our appreciation for a very important group of workers around the office. After all, an office would be extremely difficult to run without the help of an administrative staff. That’s why you should take this opportunity to thank them by giving them gifts. Luckily, delightfuldeliveries.com has plenty of gift baskets that are perfect for this type of occasion.
Although Administrative Professionals Week is widely celebrated across the nation, there are still many people out there that don’t know what it is. Allow me to fill you in on this nationally recognized holiday.
The week was originally known as “National Secretaries Week” in 1952. A man named Harry M. Klemfuss decided to promote the value and importance of secretaries in an attempt at getting more people to consider a career in such a field. It was soon made an official holiday by Charles Sawyer, who was the U.S. Secretary of Commerce at the time, and took place during the first week of June. National Secretaries Day was right in the middle of the week, Wednesday, June 4th. It became customary to show appreciation for secretaries by providing them with gifts.
Three years after the birth of National Secretaries Day it was moved to the last week of April, where it has remained ever since. The title of the holiday was later changed in 1981 to “Professional Secretaries Week” and eventually to its current name in 2000. The most recent change was intended to encompass the expanding role and duties of administrative support staffs.
This year delightfuldeliveries.com offers a wide variety of gourmet baskets that could bring a smile to lots of people around the office, including fruit baskets, cookie baskets and more. Back in the fifties people didn’t have the option to order over the Internet. But today you can use technology to your advantage. You can go shopping for gifts online!
An office is like a team, and every worker is a vital part of that team. This is the time to let them know that.
